Help refugee job seekers craft effective resumes and prepare for employment opportunities in the U.S., while supporting their efforts to connect with potential employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide participants through resume templates and formatting, with attention to international work experience.
- Offer personalized feedback on resume content, helping translate skills and roles into U.S. job market language.
- Assist with basic computer tasks (typing, saving, printing).
- Support instructors during class sessions and provide translation or interpretation support if applicable.
- Assist with transportation coordination to ensure participants can attend sessions reliably.
- Help facilitate networking by sharing job leads, coordinating introductions to employers, and supporting attendance at hiring events.
Skills Needed:
- Basic computer literacy, attention to detail, empathy, and experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to help with transportation logistics and employer outreach is appreciated.
Time Commitment:
- 2–3 hours per week during scheduled resume-building classes.
- Classes take place on Thursdays 10am-12pm
