Support refugee participants in developing essential workplace skills through guided activities, mentorship, and culturally sensitive engagement, while helping connect them to employment opportunities.
- Assist with workshop setup and materials
- Help facilitate group discussions and role-play exercises focused on U.S. workplace norms.
- Provide one-on-one encouragement and feedback to participants, especially those navigating cultural and language barriers.
- Track attendance and assist with basic documentation.
- Provide transportation assistance to participants when possible, or help coordinate rides through community resources.
- Support networking efforts by introducing participants to local employers, job fairs, and community hiring events.
Skills Needed:
- Strong communication, patience, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for helping refugees succeed professionally.
- Willingness to assist with transportation and employer outreach is a plus.
Time Commitment:
- 2–3 hours per week during scheduled JRT sessions.
- Sessions take place on Mondays 10am-12pm
