TITLE: Front Desk Volunteer
LOCATION: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Missoula Office
START DATE: Rolling
COMMITMENT: Minimum of 2 hours weekly, half-day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) is preferred
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sit at the front desk and greet community members who walk into the office and walk them to the appropriate meeting space at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡.
- Answer phone calls and share information to necessary ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ staff.
- Ensure safety and security of the lobby and office.
- Safeguard client privacy, confidentiality, safety and dignity in all aspects of program services.
- Keep lobby and meeting spaces clean.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Motivated, flexible, and able to work independently, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment
- Time commitment is 2 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is based on your availability during the week M-F 9am-5pm.
- Must remain patient, open-minded, and free of judgement when working with participants from different cultural backgrounds.
- Self-starter who thrives in volunteer roles with a high degree of independence and autonomy are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in an additional language relevant to current refugee populations is a plus: Swahili, Arabic, Pashto, Dari, Spanish, and Ukranian
Position Logistics:
- Compensation: This is a volunteer role
- Hours: Consistent availability preferred, minimum of 2 hours weekly
- Supervisor: Operations Coordinator
- Complete a 1-hour virtual Volunteer Orientation & a 20–30-minute safety and security training video
- Complete and pass background check through HireRight
