Desperate people who fled violence in a caravan from Central America are now stranded at the southern border of the United States by Trump administration policies. "While the administration is saying people should come here legally and follow a legal process, it's making it impossible to do so," says Olga Byrne, director of immigration with the ̽����ѡ.

"We came on foot. Seven days walking." Cibel is just one of the 3 million people who have fled violence and a severe economic crisis in Venezuela. She's now struggling to get by in Colombia. This is her story.

Conditions inside Venezuela continue to deteriorate—a million Venezuelans have now sought refuge in Colombia, and this number could double in the next six months. Many are being forced to undertake desperate measures,including sex work, to earn money to survive.
