On April 27th, nearly 175 community humanitarians attended Journey to the Wasatch, the ̽����ѡ (̽����ѡ) in Salt Lake City’s annual spring fundraising party celebrating the journey hundreds of our refugee neighbors undergo to make their home in Utah.

Over 300 advocates mobilized in support of refugees in Washington D.C. on May 8th and 9th, including four delegates from the state of Idaho. Together, they urged congress to return to policies of welcome for refugee and immigrant communities in the US.

March 17 marks the 40th Anniversary of President Jimmy Carter signing the Refugee Act of 1980. Forty years ago, Congress passed landmark legislation with near unanimous bipartisan support creating a formal process for welcoming refugees based on humanitarian needs and U.S. interests.
