January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, dedicated to educating the public on how to prevent human trafficking. Through two anti-trafficking grants, the Ì½»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Silver Spring provides survivors of trafficking with rental assistance and case management services. Last year, the Ì½»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Silver Spring supported 43 survivors of trafficking to rebuild their lives in Maryland. 

New research on effective early childhood development programming in humanitarian settings.

The South Florida Human Trafficking Task Force (SFHTTF) was established in 2018, by the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Miami with support from the Department of Justice and in collaboration with service providers, law enforcement agencies and individuals from the community. The purpose of the SFHTTF is to identify and protect survivors of human trafficking, prosecute traffickers and educate communities across South Florida about the impacts human trafficking has on the community.

This brief explores the relative costs of running these different professional development activities across nine programs in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Pakistan.
