At least a half million Syrian refugee children live in Lebanon. Many have no choice but to work on the streets or in the fields to help their families survive. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ gives them a safe place to play, learn, and just be kids. Meet a group of children as they spend a day in one of these safe spaces dressing up in superhero costumes and talking about their secret superpowers.

Refugees in Jordan—especially young children—have limited access to education. That's why the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has trained Syrian refugees to teach them and vulnerable Jordanians how to use play as part of early learning. The program, "Reach Up and Learn," helps children ages six months to 2 1/2 years build their confidence, as well as language skills and other skills they need to thrive.

Game of Thrones actor and champion for refugees, Lena Headey, recently visited Germany with the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡. On her trip with us, Lena reunited with Marwa, a Syrian mother she met in a refugee settlement in Greece in 2016.  Read HBO's interview with Lena about her trip.   

Children selling items like CDs, gum and tissues out on the street is one of the most visible signs of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.
