The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ (̽»¨¾«Ñ¡) reacts this evening to a US District Court granting a preliminary injunction stopping the government from terminating Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, for Sudan, Nicaragua, Haiti, and El Salvador.

Said Hans Van de Weerd, Vice President of US Programs, ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ -

"The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, and those TPS holders we serve, are relieved by the news from the US Courts this evening. For TPS holders, the decision to cancel these urgently-needed programs, for countries unfit for safe return, meant life or death decisions for families.

"While this is not over for TPS holders, or their children - many of whom are US citizens - this is a welcome decision and a temporary step away from impossible decisions and risk."
