We are delighted to introduce Sharon Kennedy as the new Executive Director of the San Diego office, starting on November 13th, 2023. Sharon is no stranger to the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in San Diego, bringing deep institutional knowledge of the office, the community, and the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in general.

Sharon began her career with the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in 1996 as an Employment Specialist for the San Diego office. She has since held various roles at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, including 13 years as the Development Manager in San Diego, seven years in External Relations at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ headquarters, and more recently the Director of Development for the Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration Department. Prior to working at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, Sharon was an Assistant Resident Dean at UC San Diego and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand. Sharon has a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego and a Master of International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys walks with her dog, hiking, spending time with family, and traveling.
